The local take
Four new dedicated courts added June 2025 — courts are mint and underused on weekday mornings.
What it's like to play here
Eight dedicated lighted pickleball courts at Cerritos Park East — Cerritos expanded the facility with 4 new courts in June 2025, so half the surface is essentially brand-new concrete. Permanent nets, well-marked lines, restrooms and a water fountain at the park building.
The newer half of the stack is noticeably grippier; the older half still plays fine but you'll feel the difference between fresh paint and 8 years of court wear.
When to go (and when not to)
- Best: weekday morning 8–11am — the new courts often sit empty.
- Avoid: weekend midday — Cerritos draws a crowd from across the LA-OC border line.
How to get there
Off the 91 freeway at Bloomfield, south to 166th. Cerritos Park East entrance is on the east side of Bloomfield. Free lot on the south side of the park near the pickleball courts.
