The local take
Only 2 dedicated courts but free, lighted, and a strong evening regulars community.
What it's like to play here
Two dedicated pickleball courts at Charles H. Wilson Park in Torrance. Small footprint, but the courts are well-maintained and the community of regulars is one of the more welcoming in the South Bay LA area.
The scheduled-block model (open play Tue/Wed/Fri/Sat mornings, daily evening 6–10pm) means structured play windows; outside those, the courts are typically rolled into general tennis-court use.
When to go (and when not to)
- Best: scheduled open-play windows for the rotation; evening 6–10pm for the regulars.
- Avoid: showing up outside scheduled windows expecting the dedicated courts to be free — they often aren't.
How to get there
Off the 405 at Crenshaw Boulevard south, then west on Sepulveda to Madrona. Free park lot.
