What it's like to play here
Eight dedicated pickleball courts at Deerpath Community Park in Lake Forest, which the city reopened in November 2023 next to the Recreation Center. Free, walk-on, permanent nets. The court surface is essentially brand-new and the surrounding park has walking trails — easy to make this a half-day family destination rather than just a court visit.
No lights, so plan around daylight.
When to go (and when not to)
- Best: weekday late morning, weekend mornings.
- Avoid: evenings (no lights).
How to get there
Off the 5 freeway at Bake Parkway east, then south on Trabuco to Hastings. Free park lot.
