What it's like to play here
Twelve dedicated pickleball courts inside Mile Square Regional Park, run by Agape Tennis Academy on contract with the city. The surface is standard concrete with permanent nets, well-tensioned, and clearly striped. Lighting on every court runs until close at 9pm weekdays, so post-work doubles is a real option.
This is the closest large-venue facility to Garden Grove if you want a guaranteed court and don't mind the $12 hourly rate. Booking is online up to 72 hours ahead. Weekend morning slots book out within an hour of opening.
When to go (and when not to)
- Best: weekday afternoons 4–6pm (lighter booking demand), weekday late nights 7–9pm.
- Avoid: Saturday or Sunday mornings without a reservation — drop-ins won't get on.
How to get there
Off the 405 at Brookhurst or the 22 at Magnolia. The tennis center entrance is on the east side of the park, separate from the main park entrance.
