The local take

Closed Tues 7-8a and Wed 6-8:30a for maintenance. Open-play midday window is the best visitor slot.

What it's like to play here

Eight dedicated pickleball courts at the Tustin Legacy Veterans Sports Park — free, lit until 10pm, and one of the better-kept municipal facilities in central OC. Concrete surface, permanent nets, paddle stacking is standard during open-play hours.

The Tustin Pickleball Club runs structured open play 12pm–4pm daily, which is the friendliest entry point if you're new to the area and want to find rotating doubles partners.

When to go (and when not to)

  • Best: weekday morning 8–11am for less-crowded play, midday 12–4pm for organized open play.
  • Avoid: Tuesday 7–8am and Wednesday 6–8:30am — closed for maintenance.

How to get there

Off the 5 at Tustin Ranch Road, south past Edinger. The park is a 5-minute drive south of the District at Tustin Legacy shopping. Free lot parking; arrive 15 minutes early for the open-play sessions to claim a spot in the rotation.
