The local take

LA County's biggest pickleball facility — 16 championship + 12 dual-use courts. Tournament play hosted here regularly.

What it's like to play here

Twenty-eight courts. The largest pickleball facility in LA County — 16 dedicated championship courts plus 12 dual-use courts, all under one operator (iPickle) on county park land. This is the venue where tournaments and DUPR-rated leagues get hosted; even for casual drop-in play, the level of competition is one notch above the average city park.

The court fee is $10/hour with a separate $3 park entry. The combination is still cheaper than most private clubs.

When to go (and when not to)

  • Best: weekday afternoons 2–5pm before the after-work rush.
  • Avoid: tournament weekends — many courts get reserved en bloc and walk-in availability evaporates. Check iPickle's calendar.

How to get there

Off the 60 freeway at Santa Anita Avenue south. Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is on the east side of the road. iPickle is on the north section of the park near Potrero Avenue.
