Christian Alshon is World #4 in men's singles and one of the most replay-friendly pros in the sport — nicknamed the "Tweener King" for his between-the-legs trick shots.
Career
The 2021 NCAA Division III singles tennis champion at the University of Chicago (he went 18-0 his title year), Alshon turned pro in pickleball shortly after graduation. He was the first overall pick in the 2024 MLP Draft by the Texas Ranchers and won his first PPA singles title at the 2023 Veolia Cape Coral Open.
He is the first player to win MLP championships at both the Challenger and Premier levels — a small bit of league trivia that captures how quickly his game has scaled.
Playing style
Right-handed; Paddletek Bantam. The Tweener nickname captures the showmanship, but underneath it is a measured ground game and one of the better defensive resets at the kitchen line. The trick shots are usually the right shot — they just look like party tricks because nobody else attempts them.
