Zoey Wang (PPA-registered as Chao Yi Wang) is World #9 in women's singles, the highest-ranked player from Taiwan, and one of the few top-10 pros who learned the game entirely from YouTube without a coach.
Career
Wang transitioned from tennis in 2022 and turned PPA pro in 2024. The PPA's coverage of her training quotes her saying she learned by watching Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters match footage — there's no traditional coaching pathway in her background.
In 2026 she has 1 silver and 2 bronze singles medals on the PPA Tour, and is a regular participant in the JOOLA Pickleball Legends Tour stops in Vietnam and China — one of the most internationally-active women's pros on the schedule.
Playing style
