Catherine Parenteau is World #8 in women's singles and #3 in doubles — the most prominent Canadian on the women's draw alongside Genie Bouchard.
Career
A 3-time US Open Pickleball Champion with 16 PPA Tour titles, Parenteau played NCAA Division I tennis at the University of Arkansas and Michigan State before being introduced to pickleball in 2015 by Simone Jardim — the first dominant women's pro of the modern era.
She plays Selkirk Sport — the same paddle brand as Jack Sock and Dylan Frazier.
Playing style
Right-handed. The veteran on the women's draw alongside ALW. Her kitchen-line game is the most refined in the top 10 — a soft third-shot drop, patient dinks, and an aggressive forehand counter when the opportunity opens. Multi-discipline strength: she's higher-ranked in doubles than singles.
